CCAN Director Intern

REMOTE - Part-time

The CCAN Director Intern will support the Christian College Alumni Network (CCAN) initiatives, focusing on connecting professionals with students and recent graduates for mentorship and career development. This role aligns closely with CHEF’s broader mission by ensuring students and alumni have access to a thriving support network. Approximately 5 hours per week, with flexibility to work hours that suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing the CCAN database of participants’ needs on Notion.
Support the mentorship program by matching students with appropriate mentors and tracking the progress of mentorship relationships.
Develop and post engaging social media content and graphics to promote CCAN initiatives.
Provide administrative support for CCAN and the broader CHEF Career and Mentorship Program.
Like, comment, and engage in the LinkedIn group to foster community and interaction.
Collaborate with the Director of the Career and Mentorship Program on recruitment and onboarding of professionals to join the mentorship network.
Commit to a weekly meeting with the COO to discuss progress and upcoming tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university, preferably a Christian institution.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and social media platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CHEF’s Potluck Benefit Program is its flagship initiative, inspiring Churches of Christ to unite through food, fellowship, and purpose. Participating congregations prepare a meal featuring the best dishes Churches of Christ have to offer and engage in a program that shares the gospel, highlights the church’s mission, and demonstrates how Christian colleges support the work of the church. These events also raise funds for local scholarships to help youth pursue Christian higher education.

The Potluck Sponsorship Director will be instrumental in the success of the CHEF Potluck Benefit by securing corporate sponsorships to support the program. This role involves building relationships with businesses interested in advertising through CHEF’s Potluck and Cookbook while supporting the mission of Christian higher education. A minimum of 5 hours per week, with the flexibility to set your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct outreach to businesses in CHEF’s database to secure sponsorships for the Potluck Benefit and Cookbook.
Identify and cold-call additional businesses that may align with CHEF’s mission and be interested in sponsorship opportunities.
Maintain clear records of outreach and sponsorship agreements.
Collaborate with the CHEF team to align sponsorship efforts with the broader mission and goals of the organization.

Qualifications

Freedom Food Director

REMOTE - Part-time

Freedom Food is CHEF’s innovative meal preparation solution, offering pre-portioned spice packets for home chefs. These packets simplify meal preparation while allowing students to sell them to raise funds for Christian college tuition, often receiving over 100% of the proceeds due to CHEF’s low administrative costs and matching partner programs.

Freedom Food also supports CHEF’s National Potluck Benefit, a flagship event where churches host potlucks to celebrate fellowship, share meals inspired by the best dishes from other congregations, and raise funds for Christian higher education. Freedom Food packets are distributed to promote potluck events and simplify meal preparation for attendees.

Position Overview

The Freedom Food Director will oversee all aspects of the Freedom Food Program, guiding churches and women’s associations through the preparation and distribution of meal prep packets. This role combines program management, volunteer coordination, and tracking responsibilities to ensure the success of the Freedom Food and National Potluck Benefit initiatives.

This role requires 3-6 hours per week, with the flexibility to work at your convenience. $1,000 scholarship or stipend (upfront payment available upon acceptance). Optional extension duties for an additional $1,000 stipend.

Key Responsibilities

Church Support: Assist churches in preparing Freedom Food packets or coordinating with women’s associations, organizing workdays, and managing logistics for packet production and shipping.
Tracking & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of costs, volunteer activities, and progress, logging updates in Notion for transparency.
Cookbook Development: Curate standout recipes, gather accompanying stories, and advise on the cookbook's design and presentation.
Product Management: Manage packet distribution, fulfill online orders, and track sales, with an additional stipend for extended responsibilities.

This initiative will strengthen connections among Christian legal professionals and create opportunities for mentorship, career growth, and collaboration.

Position Overview

The Lawyer Outreach Intern will assist in building a robust database of Church of Christ lawyers. This role involves outreach to churches, law school alumni, and LinkedIn connections to identify and document professionals to include in the database. The intern will also help organize and maintain the database to ensure it meets the needs of Faulkner University, Pepperdine University, and CHEF’s mission. This part-time role requires a minimum of 5 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct outreach to churches to identify members of their congregations who are lawyers.
Connect with law school alumni from Faulkner University, Pepperdine University, and other institutions to gather contact information for Church of Christ lawyers.
